Bike Packing

Tour Divide Workshop

May 7-10, 2026

A 4-day bike-packing workshop designed to prepare participants for the Tour Divide. While the main focus will be on the specifics of the Tour Divide, we will also cover general topics that are relevant to all cyclists interested in tackling similar routes or looking to enhance their bike-packing knowledge and skills.

Tour Divide Workshop

Whether you are looking to set the record or complete the route within the time cut-off, this workshop accommodates all goals and styles of riders.

At this workshop, we will learn and discuss the many aspects of “life on the divide.” Preparing for a 2800-mile race is no easy task. The things riders encounter are typically unforeseen, what they envision often differs from reality, and online information can be misleading. As we discuss scenarios, logistics, simulate practices, and further dial in all the details of the bike set-up, we aim to help you with the reality of the Tour Divide. By attending this workshop, the rider will gain confidence, learn strategies to consider, and valuable route knowledge to help “set you up for success!”

With the timing of this workshop, consider it the final  “shake out” ride with just a few more things to do before the Grand Depart! This is not necessarily a “riding” training camp where the focus will be on logging big miles each day, although on two of those days, we will spend the day on the bike. The focus is on educating and preparing the rider while answering all the questions one might have.
