About JayP

After many years of riding and racing, earning ‘legend’ status as an “athlete” and having consulted, guided and educated as a “mentor and ambassador” to sport brands, I now want to pay all that forward. Offering events in my backyard which was born from advocacy.

I have acquired quite a few hats.

RideForward is now a platform for the most rewarding part, which is sharing and educating through all I have learned and my experiences.

RideForward is a way of life and a way to pay it forward.

Cycling and bikepacking offer an extraordinary chance to discover the world and engage deeply with diverse cultures. These adventures allow me to push my limits and embrace new challenges. With over 30 years of racing and riding across the globe, I’ve gathered invaluable insights along the way. I’m passionate about sharing my experiences, tips, and tricks to inspire others to embark on their own journeys.

My passion for cooking, trying new recipes, and sharing meals is perhaps even greater than my passion for cycling. I also love gardening, yoga, and my cat, Prince.

#RideFoward

Ride Forward came about as a tag line for me while I was going through a branding process, it stuck. Its origin comes from a philosophy I adopted long ago from my adventure racing days of always moving forward, which we took quite literally for days on end, but was something I also brought into my everyday life.

Applying the always moving forward philosophy to not only sport but with relationships, business and my own physical and mental potential was something I learned and valued as it kept these things growing positively – moving forward!

The ride part of Ride Forward, well, is simply my passion – riding bicycles! Combining the two words was natural.

Biketender’s vision was created out of JayP’s love for logistics, planning, and passion for cycling.
